NICU Family Resources

We were fortunate to live close to CHP.  However, for those parents who live too far away, CHP offers housing to families at the Ronald McDonald House which is connected to the hospital

The March of Dimes is a global network dedicated to funding research on how to care for babies born too young or with medical conditions.  They also have a walk/run in Pittsburgh's North Shore every spring which we participate in.

The Childrens Home is located just down the street from CHP.  It serves as transistional housing for parents and thier babies after being discharged from the NICU, but before parents are ready to bring thier child home. For children coming home on vents or with medical equiptment, it allows the parents to train with nurses and doctors on how to care for thier babies needs

Project Sweet Peas is a nationwide network of local foundations which service the needs and provide resources for NICU families.  Pittsburgh's local arm of this charity is Miliana's Miracles.  We are partnering with them to supply them with books as part of thier NICU care packages.
